The Occasion: More than 75 people from the Board of Trustees and the Women’s Board of the Field Museum gathered at the Lake Forest home of Sandy and Roger Deromedi on a Sunday afternoon, to kick off the museum’s Gold Gala in October.

The Details: After the storm clouds cleared, champagne flowed as guests enjoyed the George Jewell-catered event featuring ceviche, grilled shrimp, and fresh berries topped with vanilla whipped cream in homemade waffle cups.

The Venue: The Deromedis offered tours of their English garden and newly reconstructed Jens Jensen woodlands, while a quartet of students from Midwest Young Artists entertained.

The End Result: The event generated excitement for the upcoming gala and announced Graff Diamonds as the leading sponsor.
