North Shore Medical Research Junior Board of Children’s Memorial Hospital

The Scene: The Zodiac at Neiman Marcus Northbrook was flooded with supporters of the North Shore Medical Research Junior Board (NSMRJB) of Children’s Memorial Hospital early in the morning, before the store was opened to the public.

The Highlights: While munching on a light breakfast, guests took in the latest spring looks from chic designer Tory Burch.

The Purpose: Sold out again this year, the funds raised went toward the Board’s two-year commitment of $150,000 to the Children’s Memorial Research Center.

The End Result: More than $5,000 went to the 2009–2010 pledge vowed to provide funds for two crucial arenas of pediatric research: cardiology stem-cell study and autism.
