Deerpath Garden Club of Lake Forest
Held on June 23, the Deerpath Garden Club of Lake Forest hosted their annual garden walk at the homes of three Garden Club members. The theme of this year’s walk, “Our Changing Gardens,” was selected to capture the essence of the changes currently under way to the faithfully maintained gardens located at the Telegraph Road/West Train Station in Lake Forest. More than 95 members and their guests toured the gardens of Linda Leahy, Lynn Pruitt, and Lucia Egan. After the garden tours, lunch was served at Shoreacres in Lake Bluff. Club President for the past two years, Nancy Stack, turned over the gavel to incoming President Cathy Douglas. Co-chairs of the Garden Walk were Nancy Knollberg and Rosemary McDonough. Members of the Garden Walk committee were Debbie O’Malley, Susan Simms, Peg Determan, Elizabeth Hamilton, Alison Reider, Jan Richman, Mary Sperzel, and Cathy Douglas.
