Catholic Charities Lake County

More than 200 guests filled Knollwood Club on the evening of May 14 to support the work of the Women’s Board of Catholic Charities of Lake County. Set to the theme of “Inspiring Hope,” guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and live and silent auctions. The Irene Leahy McMahon Award, presented each year to a member who has given unselfishly of her time and talent to the activities of the Women’s Board, was awarded to Alisun Blanda. Anne Lazar and Cathy Lynch, both of Lake Forest, co-chaired the event. Mary Carlson serves as President, and Ralph and Mary Gesualdo served as co-chairs, all of Lake Forest. Proceeds from the event directly support Catholic Charities Programs in Lake County, including adoption and maternity counseling, community casework, housing services, and Meals on Wheels.
